Creativity

Creativity can be defined as "Mental characteristic that allows a person to think outside of the box, which results in innovative or different approaches to a particular task".

Creativity is the bringing into being of something which did not exist before, either as a product, a process or a thought.

You would be demonstrating creativity if you:
  • Invent something which has never existed before
  • Invent something which exists elsewhere but you are not aware of
  • Invent a new process for doing something
  • Reapply an existing process or product into a new or different market
  • Develop a new way of looking at something (bringing a new idea into existence)
  • Change the way someone else looks at something
In fact, we are all creative every day because we are constantly changing the ideas which we hold about the world about us. Creativity does not have to be about developing something new to the world, it is more to do with developing something new to ourselves. When we change ourselves, the world changes with us, both in the way that the world is affected by our changed actions and in the changed way that we experience the world.

Creativity can be used to make products, processes and services better and it can be used to create them in the first place. It is expected that increasing your creativity will help you, your organization and your customers become happier through improvements in your quality and quantity of output.

Leadership Skills (Be a Leader)

Leaders are both born and made. See if you have what it takes to be a manager, and what you can do to improve the skills you already have.
Managers don't become leaders overnight. Even “born” leaders don’t start out possessing all these skills.
To be a Leader, You Need to :

1. Have vision:
Leaders have a clear sense of where they want to go
and how they intend to get there. They see the big picture,
then create a strategic plan for achieving their goals.

2. Make decisions:
Leaders aren’t afraid to make difficult or unpopular decisions because they have confidence in themselves and in their abilities. They know that indecision wastes resources and opportunities.

3. Take risks:
Leaders have the courage to act in situations where results aren’t assured. They're willing to risk failure.

4. Motivate others:
Leaders can articulate their vision and ideals to others, convincing them of the value of their ideas. They can inspire people to work toward common goals and to achieve things they never thought they could do.

5. Build teams:
Leaders create productive teams that draw the best from people. They effectively coach teams in collaboration, consensus building, and conflict resolution.

6. Possess self-knowledge:
Leaders know their own strengths and weaknesses and are able to view their behavior objectively. They recognize their shortcomings, open themselves to feedback, and are willing to make changes when necessary.

7. Display integrity:
Leaders must be trustworthy before others will follow them. Warren Bennis, The Leadership Institute, University of Southern California, says qualities that establish trust are competence, constancy, caring, candor, and congruity, which he defines as authenticity, reliability, and feeling comfortable with oneself.

8. Pursue lifelong learning:
Leaders have a desire to continually learn and grow and are open to new ideas.

9. Communicate effectively:
Leaders can convey their ideas to diverse individuals and adjust their styles to meet the needs of the people they lead.

10. Help others succeed:
Leaders empower others and go out of their way to help them achieve their full potential, thereby benefiting the organization.

Improve Your Positive Attitude ..

Positive attitude helps to cope more easily with the daily affairs of life. It brings optimism into your life, and makes it easier to avoid worry and negative thinking. If you adopt it as a way of life, it will bring constructive changes into your life, and makes them happier, brighter and more successful. With a positive attitude you see the bright side of life, become optimistic and expect the best to happen. It is certainly a state of mind that is well worth developing and strengthening.
and here is some tips which will help to enhance your positive attitude, and hence, enhance your whole life .

Do Not Wait for Happiness.
Do not wait for good things to happen to you. You need to work towards happiness. You need to create a happy environment around you today to remain happy tomorrow. This is called an attitude. If you adopt a positive attitude, life becomes a rewarding game instead of a challenge to ‘get through.’

Clarify and Prioritize
Learn to know what you want. If you know what you expect from yourself, your future becomes clear and your goals become attainable
Clarify your purpose : A purpose is something you fulfill each moment when you are in balance with your life. (A purpose is a simple, positive statement of why you are here). A purpose isn’t a goal statement, which one can achieve.
Discover your purpose: by identifying & prioritizing your most important roles in life (at home, at work, community etc) List the positive qualities that you aspire to possess: Honesty, Philanthropic, Accommodating, Tolerant etc.
Visualize your future, with a clear picture in your mind of what you want to accomplish in your lifetime (you can become what you think you are and what you see). One of the most powerful techniques for achieving life goals is visualization (creating a mental image of something happening in future). Believing in and seeing your dreams can motivate you to become what you want to be.
Set goals for yourself (To help your dreams for the future become a reality, you need to set short & long term goals) to stay on course.
To provide steady fuel for your energy, create a list of long term goals to be accomplished in life time & break them into several interim short term goals to help you chart your progress.

Be Resilient
Resilient people are those who face setbacks but ultimately, with perseverance, recover from them. Try and be strong and face life’s difficulties as challenges; respond accordingly with action, rather than with fear, self-pity, inferiority or blame. While life can be very challenging, an important step in becoming more resilient is to develop the habit of positive self talk and to remind yourself that you are strong and can grow stronger and wiser as you handle life’s challenges.

Self Pep Talk
One’s inner dialogue is one’s biggest strength and critic. Listen to your inner self and talk to it. Motivate yourself rather than getting motivated by others. It is the inner voice that makes us critical of ourselves. Rule your inner voice!

Laugh Away
Humor is the best medicine. Make laughter a part of your day. Laughter is known to be a mood elevator. When feeling low, read funny stories or go through a joke book. Allow yourself to open up. See the funny side of things and you will realize, life is a complex, yet funny game.

Seize the day
Carpe Diem, as the proverb goes. Always enjoy the moment. Do not worry about your past or future. Live for the day. What has happened is irreversible and what will happen is unknown, so try and enjoy what you have. Like someone has rightly said:
“The past is history, the future is mystery.
Today is a Gift, That is why we call it the Present”

Be an Optimist
This is the golden rule to maintaining a positive attitude. Always believe in yourself. Being an optimist does not only mean to see the brighter side of life. To be an optimist means to view the surroundings wherein you maximize your strengths and achievements and minimize your weaknesses and apprehensions.
It is difficult to change yourself in a day But at least give it a try. A positive attitude in life will help you go places. Just curb that fear in you and move towards the right path!!

Remember, I CAN and I WILL.

Reach Your Goals ,, Are You Ready !!

We all have dreams and goals. Some of them are simply wishes, like winning the lottery or sailing to Tahiti. But we also have goals that are vital to our futures and the well-being of our families. And yet many of us make little or no progress toward achieving our most important goals. We wait and hope, but get no closer to our dreams.
It doesn't have to be that way! We all know people who soar from one project to another, achieving their goals and living the life they want. How do they do it?
1. Clarity of purpose:
For a dream to become a goal, it must be specific. While it's fun to dream about being rich, it takes courage and hard choices to decide exactly how much money you want and how you are going to earn it. Being "thin" is an image; losing 23 pounds by your birthday is a goal. In life, we probably can't have it all. You can lose 23 pounds, or you can have the cake and ice cream. Your choice. Be clear.

2. Commitment:
There's a story from ancient Greece about a general who landed his troupes on the beach, then burned his ships. He wanted each soldier to know there was no turning back, no retreat, no alternative to victory. Once your goal is clear, emotionally commit to achieving it. There are no alternatives.

3. Talk about it:
This is called "accountability." Once you've defined your goal and committed yourself to achieve it, start talking about it! If you want to lose weight, don't blame your spouse for buying ice cream if he or she doesn't know and understand your goal! Talking about your goals makes them emotionally real and powerful. It allows people to help you reach your goal and support you along the way. Some people will also criticize or undermine you. Don't talk to them.

4. Write it down:
This is basic, and one of the oldest, simplest and most powerful techniques for achieving any goal. Write it down! Describe precisely what you want, how you will earn it, when you will have it and the benefits you'll receive from achieving your goal. Write the details. Write the colors, the shapes and the dates.

5. Repeat it every day!
Every morning, use a small card or a corner of your appointment book to record a short description of your goal where you will see it all day long. Don't carry the same card day after day! If your goal is worth anything, it's worth one minute of your time to write a simple sentence describing your dream and focusing on your priorities. Do this every morning.

6. Have a plan:
Create a map for getting there. And put dates on it! A goal to retire at age 40 has no meaning without a savings and investment strategy. A goal to create your own business is just a fantasy without a plan to attract investors, find a location, hire staff and sell your goods or services. The beauty of a plan is that it shows you a path to your goal.

7. Take action every day!
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Any goal that is worthy of you is worth a few minutes of your time and some of your energy every single day. To write a novel, write a chapter this week. To open your own business, read a business magazine today. To create a more loving family, give someone a hug today. To be salesperson of the year, make a phone call right now!

8. Use constant affirmations:
One of my clients is a PGA golfer. From the moment his ball lands on the green until he sinks the putt, he repeats over and over "I will make this putt!" He repeats that phrase as many as 200 times before every putt! Do you think he would be more, or less, successful if he spent those moments thinking, "I just hope I don't miss it"? Tell yourself what you want to hear!

9. Review, and re-commit, often:
Never be afraid to review your goals, evaluate whether you are still 100% committed to them, and re-commit to achieving them. If your values or your choices have changed, change your goals accordingly, and be honest about it! And if your goal still fits, run to it with all your heart!

10. Celebrate each milestone!
Never wait to have a party! Each deposit in your savings account deserves a check-mark on the calendar and a hug from your partner. Each day without a cigarette deserves a smile and congratulations from your loved ones. Every step toward your goal should be documented and celebrated! When you get discouraged or have doubts, your record of past successes will quickly get you back on track. Not sure about this? Ask any marathon runner whether they count each mile on their run to the finish line! Celebrate each and every milepost on your path to victory!

Determine Your Goals (SMART Goals)

If you ask most people what is their one major objective in life, they would probably give you a vague answer, such as, "I want to be successful, be happy, make a good living," and that is it. They are all wishes and none of them are clear goals.

Goals must be SMART:

1. S--specific: For example, "I want to lose weight." This is wishful thinking. It becomes a goal when I pin myself down to "I will lose 10 pounds in 90 days."

2. M--must be measurable: If we cannot measure it, we cannot accomplish it. Measurement is a way of monitoring our progress.

3. A--must be achievable:
Achievable means that it should be out of reach enough to be challenging but it should not be out of sight, otherwise it becomes disheartening.

4. R--realistic: A person who wants to lose 50 pounds in~30 days is being unrealistic.

5. T--time- bound: There should be a starting date and a finishing date.

Why Time Management is Important ?

1. Time is limited
Time is a very special resource in that you cannot store it or save it for later. Everyone gets the exact same amount of time each and every day. If you don't use your time wisely, you can never get it back.

2. Time is scarce
Most people feel like they have too much to do and not
enough time. Lack of time is blamed for everything from
not getting enough exercise, poor finances, non-achieved goals,
too much stress, bad relationships, and even an unfulfilled life.
Time management helps you use the time
that you do have in better ways.

3. You need time to get what you want out of life
You need time to do almost anything worthwhile in life. Waiting for more free time is a loosing game that almost never results in getting time for what you want. You need to learn how to make time for the things that are important to you. Even if you can only afford to give a small amount of time each week to your goals, you'd be surprised at how much progress you can make.

4. You can accomplish more with less effort
When you become more productive using improved time management skills and tools, you can accomplish more with less effort. Reducing wasted time and effort gives you even more productive time throughout the day. Both of these allow you to make time for a wide range of activities that bring more balance and fulfillment to your life.

5. Too many choices
In this day and age, there are so many ways you can spend your time, that you need some sort of plan to make intelligent choices.
Time management helps you make conscious choices so you can spend more of your time doing things that are important and valuable to you.

Tips of Positive Thinking

Positive Thinking is one of the main factors which control your success way as it brings inner peace, happiness, insistence on your goals and being self - Esteem. Positive thinking also provides you with unlimited power for success.
In addition, In order to make positive thinking yield results, you need to develop a positive attitude toward life, expect a successful outcome of whatever you do, but also take any necessary actions to ensure your success.
So, Here I'm going to show you a few Tips you can use in almost any situation to help you gain, or regain your positivity in every situation:

1 - Take Responsibility:
Take responsibility for your own thoughts, your own attitudes, your own feelings, your own life, and most importantly your own ACTIONS. You’re the only one who has control over your mind, others may try, but in the end you’re the one who has final say, so use that to your advantage, take responsibility and make your thoughts work for you instead of against you.

2- Let Others Rule Their Own Lives:
Nothing will snap you out of a positive mental place faster than trying to control other people. Sure, sometimes someone crosses the line and you need to speak up, but 9 times out of 10 it’s just trifling stuff that get’s us all bent out of shape… You get to have total control over your thoughts and actions, so unless you’re ready to step up and step in, just let it go!

3- Decide To Live in The Present:
Most of our negative thinking takes place when we go back to the past ("I wish I had acted differently", "I was happier then than I am now") or when we fear the future ("I wish this doesn't go wrong", "I'm not sure I'll have enough money").
However, the present is the only time we have. When you focus on living the present you improve the quality of your life.

4- Be Happy For What You Have:
That don't mean that you just accept and stay in any situation you experience, for it is human to seek progress and change.
However, you do need to feel good with your circumstances up to a point, so you don't walk through life as a complaining figure, never happy with anything.
This one could be the simplest of these positive thinking tips, but it is also probably the most effective one to live a happy life.
Most of our negativity in this aspect comes because we tend to compare who we are or what we have with someone else or their possessions or our own past.
Guess what, we'll always end up losing. Just don't compare yourself. You don't have to.

5- Determine Your Goal:
That's one on the most important things that will let you think positively and we will gonna discuss it later with more details how to choose your goal that fulfill your dreams.

The six thinking Hats ,,

This is a well known method of enhancing team communication created by Edward De Bono. It fosters collaboration, creativity and innovation. There are six metaphorical hats. You ‘put on’ or ‘take off’ one of these hats to indicate the type of thinking being used. ‘Putting them on’ and ‘taking them off’ is essential: you must all be wearing the same hat at the same time. The hats must never be used to categorize people, even though their behavior may seem to invite this.

The Red Hat:
This covers intuition, feelings and emotions.
The red hat allows the thinker to put forward an intuition without any need to justify it.
The red hat gives full permission to a thinker to put forward his or her feelings on the subject at the moment.

The Yellow Hat:
This is the logical positive— why something will work and why it will offer benefits. It can be used in looking forward to the results of some proposed action, but can also be used to find something of value in what has already happened.

The Green Hat:
This is the creative mode of thinking, green represents growth and movement. In the green hat we look for new ideas and solutions. lateral thinking wears a green hat.

The Blue Hat:
This is the overview or process control hat. It looks not at the subject itself but at the 'thinking' about the subject. 'Putting on my blue hat, I think we should do some more
green hat thinking.'

The White Hat:
The information seeking hat. This covers facts, figures, information needs and gaps. ‘I think we need some white hat thinking at this point...’ means ‘Let's drop the arguments and suggestions and look
at the data.’

The Black Hat:
This is the hat of judgement and caution. It is a most valuable hat. It is not in any sense an inferior or negative hat. The black hat is used to point out why a suggestion does not fit the facts, the available experience, the system in use, or the path that is being followed. The black hat must always be logical.
